I dunno much about Nix's backstory and whatnot, but I do know she's got a hawk, and a bow, and uses her hawk and bow to further the agenda of the Shadow Lodge. I also witnessed her and a couple other Pathfinders have a hell of a time killing an air elemental. Foes with DR at level 3 are a pain in the buttocks.
Nix's hawk is a bat hawk, which are hawks what eat bats. This is all the info I can provide at this time.

Nix's father was a Pathfinder who worked mainly around Osirion, smuggling relics out of the country back before it was opened to foreign exploration. The society sent him into Osirion to collect a certain artifact, but neglected to warn him that the object was cursed. In the end he contracted mummy rot and died, leaving Nix to fend for herself at the age of 15. She still believes in the Societies' ideals and goals (explore, report, cooperate), but she distrusts the Decemvirate and the VCs.
Hero may or may not be an actual Bat Hawk, I haven't decided yet (if he is, he's certainly a giant one). I just saw a picture of one and thought they looked cool.
