Zimmael, the assmar cleric in our Shattered Star game, has an unhealthy need to "redeem"random critters, frequently after he doles out some severe beatings. This mite, who's got a name, but none of us recall it at this moment, was on guard duty and had a cold, and Zimmael spared his life in exchange for his service. Apparently, while chained to the temple anvil, the mite displayed a penchant for beautiful falsetto hymnals, and has since become a bard.
So that makes sense.
