She looks really impressive! An inspiring ruler for your young kingdom. I especially love the way her armor shines. I've been getting better at shading, but lighting still eludes me for the time being. Sooo shiny....
I really dig this, both because she looks nifty, and because it's fun to have a glimpse into someone else's Kingmaker game. My group is dealing with the aftermath of taking over the Stag Lord's Fort, and I'm excited to see what choices they'll make when it comes to running their own kingdom.
Thanks! My highlight technique is as follows (ART SPOILER ALERT):
Once shading is done, I grab a Photoshop brush, same general size as that used to do the art (generally 25 pixels). I set a layer at 10% opacity, do base highlights. Then same at 25%, then at 75%. Final step after the piece has been merged into one layer, I run it through the Diffuse Glow filter.
Hope you can use that pile of gibberish.
I hate to admit it, but the kingdom is the part of Kingmaker that excites me most. Yeah, sure, the PCs killed a bunch of dudes- but what's your next hex expansion? Where's the pub going? Will you recover from the scandal between your royal assassin and a sheep?
The rest is just adventuring, man. Gimme kingdom development any day.

Which reminds me: gotta update my Kingmaker map. Kingdom's had some expansion since I posted it.
