Cities of Akiton- Arl by WhoDrewThis Cities of Akiton- Arl by WhoDrewThis

It appears you don't have PDF support in this web browser. Download PDF

13-page PDF of some fan stuff I whipped up for the city-state of Arl on Akiton.

EDIT: Location 12 and a new full page of gibber-jabber added to the document, bringing the PDF to 12 pages and finalizing my investment in the document as a whole. We're calling it done here, people. Any more work and I'm painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa, or at least flinging poo at a "Crack is Whack" subway poster.

NOTE: I just did a re-reading of the new page, which contains one typo and excessive use of the word "with", but I really don't want to fix that. Hopefully you can forgive those sad errors and enjoy the document as a whole. It's not the Hypnerotomachia, folks, and I'm hoping the later documents will just be even better.

EDIT 2: Added the Community Use info and something almost like a Table of Contents. Also fixed the typo and at least one egregious use of the word "with".

Read more random goodies and stay tuned for updates here: [link]

Oh great. Next thing you know some powerful adventurer will find his way to akiton, then to the god machine, and start making the techpriests worship him as the Omnisiah.

Its good to see your face back on the site again, you were very much missed.

Princess Verrish, the current ruler, is actually in power because a dude in a special PFS scenario killed her hubby, then took over for a while before the Society chases him off. So takeovers like that are common and canonical.

It's one of the reasons I invented the priestly theocracy bit. Those guys hold all the real power, and while they'll keep you in food, drink, riches and slaves as long as you tow the line, once you mess with their very real powers, you can find yourself dead damn fast.

And it'd take a LONG time before a Golarion native would be made aware of the God Machine. Only reason a handful outside of the priesthood know rumors of it is because it's been stashed in Arl for 1,000 years (2,000 Golarion years) and tongues sometimes wag faster than the blades can silence 'em.

Thankee. The compy is in need of some fixing and my stylus is broken, so I'm going to be doing a LOT of writing and zero art. I hope one can suitably fill the niche of the other for a little while.

Akiton is one of Golarion's neighbor planets right?(maybe not neighbor, but same solar system?) this is a good read.

It's Golarion's version of Mars. Fourth planet from the sun, with Golarion at third and Castrovel (gorgeous, lush Venus-planet) at second.

I'd list 'em all off, but then I'm just wasting your time.

PS- Verces, mentioned a few times in the text, is #5. It's a tidally-locked planet with only a thin inhabitable band around its vertical equator. Once I've beaten all of the Akiton out of my brain, that's the spot I'd jump on next, assuming I either get information on the Vercite race or develop a satisfactory version myself.

Right, I've seen references to mars in some of your other works, I shouldn't be surprised that this is the Golarion equivalent

I mostly reference Mars because of Akiton. I never read Burroughs, a situation my fellow nerds beg I rectify. But laziness reigns supreme.

I have done far more research into Mars and its assorted details than I care to admit, though. :P
